Understanding the Consultation Process

The consultation process is at the heart of the French section of the Lyon-Turin project.

Following the launch of the Detailed Preliminary Design phase, SNCF Réseau is once again engaging in regular dialogue with all stakeholders in the region: elected officials, socio-economic actors, associations, and others. The municipalities affected by the route are also closely involved in the project.

This consultation process reflects the project owner’s strong commitment. Its goal is to better address the expectations and needs of the region, while seeking solutions to minimize the project’s impact on quality of life and the environment.

The consultation process also helps identify points of convergence between the project and local dynamics, offering opportunities to develop territorial planning initiatives driven by local stakeholders.

This dialogue is based on exchange and information sessions, conducted in a transparent manner and closely aligned with local concerns. The goal is to involve representative stakeholders throughout the study process. Their requests, suggestions, and feedback are taken into account as much as possible, enriching the project and improving its integration within the territory.
